Both gaseous and liquid moisture are external factors that will adversely affect aviation plugs. 1. Once water seeps into the aviation plug in the form of gas or liquid, it will not only adsorb on the surface of the insulator, but also slowly seep into the interior of the insulator, resulting in the reduction of resistivity, electrical strength, insulation performance and even failure;


2. After long-term water seepage and water absorption, the insulator will expand and deform itself, resulting in a certain degree of displacement and tolerance fit changes;


3. Vapor or misty moisture is easy to combine with harmful active chemicals in the environment in industrial environment or other complex environment, thus causing corrosion to the shell and internal components of the connector;


4. The water seeping into the connector will cause corrosion and bonding of the connector's connecting structure (thread, buckle and other parts), making it difficult or even impossible to disassemble the connector later;


5. The infiltrated gaseous water will corrode the metal surface of the contact due to the electrochemical reaction in the long-term use, become more rough, increase the plugging force, and accelerate the wear of the contact;


6. If the waterproof performance of the connector is very weak, too much water seeping into the contact will easily lead to short circuit and even fire.
